New Pavilion w/ Windows 11 won't return from sleep

Scenario: Computer is in Sleep mode, either due to inactivity or because I put it in Sleep mode. Maybe 25-30% of the time, keyboard or mouse activity will wake it back up, but more often than not, I have to hold the power button to force a shutdown, then start it back up completely.

Is Sleep mode just plain broken on this machine? Is there a way to get it to wake as expected?
