New keyboard causing computer to freeze

ENVY All-in-One - 24-n020qe CTO (Touch)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This post is similar to one I posted on the Hardware board but it was entirely innacurate so I am posting here.

I mentioned the keyboard (HP Keboard Model # HP K3500) was causing Windows to crash.  Actually Windows is freezing.  I believe there is a suble difference.

It is to the point I might have to reinstall Windows.  I did update the Chipset driver.  I am hesitant to update the BIOS due to the low chance of it making a difference and possiblity of ruining the motherboard.
