@Tirumalesh-123, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error message “No bootable device – insert boot disk and press any key” typically means your PC is unable to detect a valid operating system to boot from. This can be caused by incorrect BIOS settings, a disconnected or failed hard drive, or corrupted boot files.
Let’s walk through some steps to resolve this:
Power Reset the PC
- Turn off the computer completely.
- Unplug the power cable and remove the battery (if applicable).
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power and try turning it on again.
Check BIOS Boot Order
- Turn on the PC and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to the Boot tab.
- Ensure your primary hard drive (usually labeled as HDD or SSD) is listed first in the boot order.
- If not, use the arrow keys to move it to the top.
- Press F10 to save and exit.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Turn off the PC.
- Turn it back on and immediately press F2 repeatedly to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests > Hard Drive > Quick Test.
- If the test fails, your hard drive may need replacement.
Use HP Recovery or Windows Installation Media
If the hard drive passes diagnostics but the issue persists:
- Create a bootable USB using the Windows Media Creation Tool.
- Boot from the USB (press F9 at startup to select boot device).
- Choose Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Startup Repair.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
