@GraceChapel, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP All-in-One - 24-e014 is showing “No hard drive located” and won’t load into Windows, it typically indicates a hardware detection issue or a boot configuration problem. Let’s walk through some steps to diagnose and potentially resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Power off the PC completely.
  2. Disconnect the power cable and any peripherals (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect only the power cable and try powering it on again.

Check BIOS for Hard Drive Detection

  1. Power on the PC and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  2. Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  3. Navigate to the Storage or System Information tab.
  4. Look for the Hard Drive listed. If it’s not detected, it may be a hardware issue.

If the hard drive is not listed, it could be:

  • A loose SATA cable or connector.
  • A failed hard drive.
  • A motherboard issue (less common).

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP provides built-in diagnostics to test the hard drive:

  1. Turn off the PC.
  2. Turn it on and immediately press F2 repeatedly to launch HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Select Component Tests > Hard Drive.
  4. Run the Quick Test and then the Extensive Test if needed.

Reseat or Replace the Hard Drive (if comfortable)

If you're comfortable opening the PC:

  • Power off and unplug the PC.
  • Open the back panel and locate the hard drive.
  • Reseat the SATA and power connectors.
  • If the drive still isn’t detected, consider replacing it with a compatible SSD or HDD.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
