HP PRO 3400

Hi,

im currently fixing an old hp 3400 pro and can’t seem to get an image on the display, I am using a VGA connection to an newer monitor (an AOC monitor which does have a VGA connection), and was wondering if anybody knows why I am getting no image? I am getting no beep codes or led codes!

Given the date of your post, I would have expected someone to respond to it before this -- but since that has not happened, I will take a shot at it ...

You would only get LED blinking or beeps if there was an internal hardware failure in the machine that the BIOS POST detected.

If the PC has an add-on video card, I don't know that the BIOS POST can diagnose that to determine failures.

Did the video work on this before it was turned over to you for repair?

IF you know the monitor is good and you have used the OSD to select the VGA input (if it does not do that automatically), the I would suspect a failed onboard video chip, or a failed graphics card.  I would expect that the first of these would have been detected by the BIOS POST.
