HP OMEN 25L GT11
Microsoft Windows 11

I updated my Windows 11 and when I restarted my PC it will not boot up. The light does turn on but no video shows on the screen.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Hey Koen,

I recently did a Win 11 + Optional HP feature update, which corrupted my bios/removed compatibility for my Ryzen 5000-series CPU. See my thread here.
First things first, what's the Productnumber of the computer? You can find this on your HP dashboard (support.hp.com).
It'll give us an exact list of the parts in your PC

Second of all, do you still have access to the BIOS? Try F10/F11 and ESC on boot. (F11 is Windows Recovery)
If not, that gives us an indication that your BIOS is the issue.

IF your bios is the issue, here are all the steps you can take to recover your BIOS. :
Note; a recent wave of people have arrived on these forums, reddit and twitter with similar issues because of an update.

You need to bring up the windows 11 recovery options

Skip to item 5 and watch video

run the trouble shooter -  advanced repair

try uninstall updates or system repair if the uninstall does not help

Hey John,

thanks for the reply. I created this post because I did see your thread and knew it was something similair. Unfortunately I could not do anything with my keyboard, because it did not connect to my PC.

I brought my PC back to the store I bought it at, since it still falls under the warranty. I assume they are either going to replace the motherboard or maybe something else.

I hope HP will soon restore this bug in their code so other people dont break their computer in this way.

Hey Beemer,

thanks for the reply, unfurtnately I could not even get into the BIOS of the PC. So I returned it to the store, where I bought it and they will either try to repair it or I hope I will get something back. I assume this will fall under my warranty, as I only did a simple Windows update and then it broke.
