HP Z2 Tower G9 Workstation Desktop PC (4Y0H6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

This desktop is suddenly no longer booting up.

Pressing the physical power button when turned off makes the white power light come (and you can hear the fan) on for a few seconds and then it goes off again (and fan powers off). Nothing displays on screen.

I have checked the power cable, moved it to a different socket and plug, unplugged it for a few hours and then tried again, removed all USB devices, etc ... still won't power on and boot up.

Still under warranty as 13 months old. Ideas?

Hard Reset - Diagnostics

On a desktop system, unplug computer. If the power cord has a transformer (wall wart) unplug from the computer. Press the power button 2-3 times to discharge residual electricity then plug back in.

Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release. Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer and then repeatedly press the ESC key and enter the diagnostic option page (F2 is diagnostics)

Make sure you can pass the memory and disk test.

If you still cannot power up or boot into windows then

@BeemerBike, thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately this did not work.

I still get the power light on for 4-5 seconds, then it goes off, then it comes back on by itself after 3-4 seconds, stays on for a few seconds, and then goes off again by itself.

Nothing ever appears on screen - I've tried both the motherboard VGA as well as the Graphics card slots. I've also tried hitting ESC repeatedly and immediately.

Remove the video board and see if the motherboard graphics start working.

remove any other PCIe cards.

If not booting, then proceed with removing and reseating memory.
