Hello,

I have HP Touchsmart 610 all in one. I mistakenly downloaded an ISO copy of windows 7 on a flash memory and installed it on the computer. I later found out that the windows was already installed on the computer as something they call OA. So now my windows copy is not genuine.
IS there a way I could go back to original windows that was pre-installed on the computer or if I can make another copy of the windows and use the key that's on the sticker on the back of the computer?

Thank you,
Regards,

Hi:

You should be able to change the product key with the one on your PC's case to activate Windows.

You may have to use the Microsoft automated phone activation system to do that.

Thank you Paul,

How do I know what is the exact copy of Windows that the key is valid for?

It says Home premium but I am not sure which exact one is it or even if it's 32 or 64 bit.

You're very welcome.

Fortunately, it doesn't matter.

The Home Premium key will work on either a 32 or 64 bit installation.

I deeply appreciate your help. When I am trying to download the ISO file. There are different Home Premium  editions. There is SP 1 and there is after 2013 etc. My question was how do I know which one of them?

You're very welcome.

I don't know where you are getting the files from.

Usually most folks use the Home Premium SP1 ISO file.

If your PC's support page has 64 bit drivers, you probably should download the Home Premium 64 bit ISO file.

There is an updated ISO file that is from the Heidoc.net site that may be similar to the 2013 file you are referring to.

It must include more of the updates to W7 post SP1, because I think the file size is more than the original 3.09 GB the SP1 64 bit file is.
