Steps taken so far:
1) tried HDMI,DVI,DP monitors
2) updated vbios on the 980GTX hoping that the UEFI GOP was the issue
3) reset/updated the 25L motherboard bios
In BIOS (white screen) when the mouse is moved, you can see the black background of the bios as the mouse moves and if enough movements are made more complete bios menu is revealed.
Searchign the net, people that have old GPU's are seeing the same signature. Because I am unable to change anything in bios, I am unable to disable the secureboot and boot into Linux.
