Hello,
Here are the specs of my computer:
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600 RGB Air Cooler (up to 5.1 GHz max boost clock, 32 MB L3 cache, 6 cores, 12 threads)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (12 GB GDDR6X dedicated)
- Kingston FURY 8 GB DDR5-5200 MHz XMP RGB Heatsink RAM (1 x 8 GB)
I am trying to upgrade my RAM to Kingston FURY 16 GB x2 DDR5-5200 MHz XMP. It's exactly the same RAM but I am not able to boot up my computer once I put in the new RAM. It will turn on without any beeping noises, but it will just not boot.
Things I have tried so far:
1) Resetted CMOS
2) Put in each of the new RAM separately to try booting
3) Disabling overclocking with each new RAM
Weird thing is that the computer will only boot with the original Kingston FURY 8 GB DDR5-5200 MHz XMP RGB Heatsink RAM (1 x 8 GB) in slot 1. If I put in the 8 GB RAM into slot 1 and one new 16 GB ram into slot 3, the computer will still boot. The computer will show 24 GB of RAM once booted.
The computer won't boot with 1 16 RAM in slot 1 for some reason. Let me know if anybody has a solution!
Thanks in advance.
