My OMEN 40L will sometimes not power up. After shutting down the previous night, I push the power button, the lights on the GPU light up for a second, and then the PC shuts down. All the fans start for a moment also. Sometimes it will go into a loop where it does the same thing after about 15+ seconds.
The only workaround I've found is to unplug the power support from the wall and wait a couple of minutes before plugging in again. This has been happening off and on since I got the unit.
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Hi @bprocket
It sounds like you have an intermittent component problem. Finding the bad part requires extensive troubleshooting. You would need to: reduce the PC to a minimum configuration and possibly swap in, known, good replacement parts.
It is very difficult to identify the bad component without checking each component.
I would contact HP Support if in warranty. Or have a local PC Tech take a look if the PC is out of warranty.
I would guess a possible power supply problem since the PC seems to start when you disconnect and reconnect AC power to this component. But a different component or peripheral could be causing the power supply symptoms.
