Late in the night my HP support assistant suggested a bios update to my HP omen 270-224 that I have had for about 2.5 years. I checkmarked the update then it stated it required a restart. I got up from my pc and knocked the power cable loose on my way out of the room accidentally. After plugging the power cable back in and turning on, nothing will display on the monitor. And it gives a beep code that initially starts with 8 long beeps, then switches to 2 long 2 short repeating 5 times, then stopping, although the long are a different pitch than the initial 8 beeps. I looked this up and appearently this is a bios error, I let it run for a couple minutes and nothing came on the screen, since then any time I restart it gives this beep code.

I have already tried

-hitting escape on startup

-hitting f2 on startup

-hitting f10 on startup

-holding win+b on startup

-holding win+v on startup

-resetting the cmos using the jumpers

-putting a bios recovery usb for the 870-224 in the usb slot then hitting win+b, same for win+v

None of these results has had anything display on the monitor at all. And the beep code stays the same, resetting the cmos made it power on then power off then power on again before beep code happened once more, but no difference other than that, still nothing on display. Would like to know what I can do to fix this at this time.

I understand that OMEN pc beeping after BIOS update.

As you have stated that you have already performed the troubleshooting steps. The issue is not resolved.

I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Or you can contact the local service center for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
