Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Omen 25L , The unit Powers up White Light on Front and lights on in case, The fans turn but that is it. I tried checking all internal connections and cleaning it with a blaster, But nothing to the screen, I have unplugged and tried to reboot, only get the same thing each time.

It was in sleep mode prior to this happening, when I went to log in it did nothing.

Normally the color in the case will change to a different color when working properly..

Please advise!

@Seadood, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

We understand that your HP Omen 25L desktop is powering on (fans spinning, lights on), but no display output and no change in LED behavior, which typically indicates that it's not POSTing (Power-On Self-Test). This is a common symptom of a hardware initialization failure, possibly triggered when the system failed to wake from sleep.

Here’s a step-by-step approach to isolate and resolve the issue:

Basic Power Reset (CMOS Clear)

Unstable wake-from-sleep behavior can corrupt BIOS settings or memory states.

  • Unplug the power cable from the wall.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Open the case and remove the CMOS battery (a flat silver coin-cell battery on the motherboard).
  • Wait 5–10 minutes.
  • Reinsert the battery, plug in power, and try powering on again.

If this works, your BIOS settings will be reset, and your system may start normally.

Check Monitor and Cable

Make sure:

  • Your monitor is powered on and input source is correct.
  • Try a different video cable (HDMI/DisplayPort) or another monitor.
  • Try onboard graphics (if available) by removing the GPU.

Check GPU (Graphics Card)

Since the lights stay white (no RGB shift), the GPU may not be initializing.

  • Turn off power, unplug the system.
  • Remove and reseat the GPU.
  • Try booting without the GPU (if your CPU has integrated graphics like an Intel i5/i7 non-F variant).

>Connect monitor to motherboard video output.

Remove Peripherals and RAM

  • Disconnect all peripherals (keyboard, mouse, USB drives, etc.).
  • Try booting with only one stick of RAM.
  • Try different slots or try a known-good RAM stick if available.

Check Motherboard/CPU/PSU

  • Make sure CPU power (4-pin or 8-pin) and 24-pin ATX connector are firmly plugged in.
  • If no beeps, your board may lack a speaker, or BIOS isn’t reaching POST.
  • A dead motherboard, bad PSU rail, or bricked BIOS (common after failed wake-from-sleep) could be the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
