Hi @Alipail53
My pleasure.
The tech demonstrating the Serial ISP Programmer has a shop in Shaftesbury, England.

Locate the BIOS chip to check how it is connected to the MB. It may be embedded in the substrate. This could mean you may have to replace the MB unless HP includes a header near the BIOS chip for flashing purposes.

I had a call from HP yesterday and they have agreed to repair the pc free of charge. All it took was several support exchanges on WhatsApp and an email to the MD. I'm not even sure the email made it that far but next day I received the call.
I'll report back once we get the machine back.

Hi @Alipail53
I would not do HPSA BIOS updates.
Also stop HP Firmware updates offered by Windows Update.
Enter Advanced System Settings in Search. Select the Hardware tab.
Select Device Installation Settings. Select No. Save changes.
Select Apply then OK.

Hi,
Have you received it back yet and what's the email of the MD to get this done free of charge? I'm expecting a callback tomorrow regarding it on goodwill but spoken to WhatsApp support in the meantime but they only seem to be able to give me a price quote which I've heard people being charged around £650 for a repair which seems ridiculous.
