OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Brand new 30L booted up fine the first time. Firt thing I did was update Omen Hub, second thing I did was to download steam and then left it downloading a 55gb game.

When I got back to the PC about an hour later it was off.  I turn it on, the monitor stays completely black (as though sleeping - ie. no signal whatsoever) and it beeps multiple times (more than 20 and alternating between different pitches) but doesn’t boot up, it then turns off. The same thing happens each time I try to turn on (black screen, multiple beeps, system turns off).

I’ve tried unplugging and holding power for 15 seconds but no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated. Given the PC is so new (issue arose within few hours of receiving it) I’m contemplating just sending it back and asking for a new one?

On contact with hp support it turns out latest bios update has bricked the motherboard, absolutely ridiculous

**bleep** I hope that’s not the case. I’ve only had mine a few weeks and I’m getting the same issue.

I tried the latest firmware update in an attempt to fix the not waking from sleep issue but now this.

Computer powers on and RGB lights up but keyboard and mouse do not receive power and there’s no video output.

I had exactly the same problem mine also only 2 weeks old, I had hp on the phone trying to diagnose and they said that the motherboard is fried luckily the site I bought it have done a full return and exchange, they have also said I'm not the first to return with same issue

Anyone have any luck, updated mine today and having the exact same issue, had it a week I'm fuming, if this is a known issue why hasn't this update been pulled..

I had to call HP and send my whole unit to one of their repair shops. Motherboard was completely replaced and then all posted back to be in default configuration.

Had to set up from scratch again avoiding the problem update.

Madness! How long did you have to wait? I’ve got an Alienware AW3423DW turning up tomorrow,  the timing is perfect…

I think it took about 2 weeks turnaround which wasn't great because I hadn't even had it a month when this happened but I've had no issues since thankfully.
