Every time I boot my hp envy 23 desktop I get a message saying press any key within 7 seconds to skip disk checking

@Laney49 -- the file-system on the disk-drive is "corrupt", and Windows is asking your permission to fix the errors.  Do NOT press any key. Let Windows analyze and repair.

 

After the "repair", if you get the same message the next time that you power-on your computer, this an indication that the disk-drive is failing, and needs to IMMEDIATELY be replaced, before it COMPLETELY dies, taking all your personal files to H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks.

I let windows analyze and repair the disk and restarted my hp envy 23 desktop and everything seems to be working fine, thank you baby Jesus
