On start up, PC cycles on for 2 seconds and cycles off for 2 seconds repeatedly and no boot up. HP 570-p020 does not boot up. The PC cycles On for 2 seconds and then cycles Off for 2 seconds. The process repeats the same On and Off cycle repeatedly with no boot up of HP 570-p020 at all.

Hi @HeadacheHorrow6,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion Desktop 570 is cycling on for 2 seconds and then off for 2 seconds repeatedly without booting up, it could indicate a hardware or power-related issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check power connections: Ensure that all power cables connected to the desktop are secure and properly seated. If you have a separate power strip or surge protector, make sure it's functioning correctly.
- Test the power outlet: Plug another device into the power outlet to verify if it's working correctly. If the outlet is not supplying power, try using a different outlet.
- Reset the power supply: Turn off the desktop and disconnect the power cable from the back. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power. Reconnect the power cable and try starting the computer again.
- Clear CMOS: Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (it looks like a small circular battery). Carefully remove it and wait for about 5 minutes before reinserting it. This will reset the BIOS settings to default. Try powering on the computer afterward.
- Disconnect peripherals: Disconnect all external devices such as USB drives, printers, and other accessories. Sometimes a faulty peripheral can prevent the computer from booting properly.
- Check hardware connections: Open the computer case and ensure that all internal hardware components (such as RAM, graphics card, and cables) are properly seated. If any components appear loose, reseat them firmly.
- Test RAM: Remove all RAM modules from their slots and reinsert them one by one, testing the computer after each installation. Faulty RAM can cause boot issues.
- Check for overheating: Verify that the CPU fan and other cooling fans are spinning properly. Ensure that the computer is not overheating, as excessive heat can cause unexpected shutdowns. Clean any dust or debris from the fans and heatsinks.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
