Product: P2 1310

Whenever I turn my PC (Hp p2 1310) on the power light flashes orange and beeps 8 times. I've tried resetting the ram and bios battery. Is there a way to fix it?

According to the troubleshooting guide Appendix A, page 59, either the BIOS has become corrupted, or the system board has failed.

The BIOS file for your PC can only be run in Windows, so the troubleshooting step that reflashing the system ROM with the latest BIOS image is not applicable to your PC.

 

You'd have to take it to a shop to see if it can be fixed and it probably wouldn't be worth it.

What could have caused it? All I did was unplug the hard drive.
