HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-1337c

I'm usually reluctant to do any Bios update, especially when my pc is working just fine. This time for whatever reason I decided to go ahead with it just to find myself stuck with a failed Bios update (F.33 Rev A) which caused my pc to crash. It would freeze for hours at the time, so I tried every single available option that I found online to reverse and/or restore to a previous state, but unfortunately nothing worked. After several failed attempts to boot, a message "Intermittent Thermal Shutdown". My last resort was to bring my pc to the closest Best Buy/Geek Squad and now I'm waiting for any positive news and resolution to the problem.

After having tried every single option available, including flash driving the BIOS plus two trips to the closest Geek Squad, no solution has been found. My PC fails to boot and it seems that the only alternative is to either buy a new device and/or replace the BIOS chip. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
