So about 2-3 months ago I was playing when my PC froze up and I had to unplug AC plug that powers PSU and plug it back in. After I plugged it back in I launched another game and it froze again so I did the same thing but instead this time when I tried to plug in the ac cord to PSU I hear spark and since then the computer pwrled light tuns on for a split second the fans for the PC and PSU turn on for a split second before stopping and when I press power button again it doesn't do anything until I unplug the AC cable from the WALL outlet itself and plug it back in before it does the same thing. After a couple hours I did some research and I seen people say it might be a PSU failure or my PSU is dead so im thinking of buying a replacement 400 watt PSU but before I do that I need expert opinions on if anything else might be the problem or if the whole computer is done for itself. need help ASAP

It probably is the PSU but you can't just buy one and replace it. HP uses custom-built PSUs and does not sell them to the public. Their PSUs often have accessory cables for stuff like card readers, audio jacks, and the like and commercial PSUs do not come with those cables. I'm not saying a new retail PSU will definitely NOT work; I'm just saying get a good return and refund policy before you buy it -- and be advised, because this is an electrical component, most sellers will NOT allow returns or refunds.
