My operating system is Windows 11 on an “OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop GT15-0345st Bundle PC.”
I am having an issue where, on startup, my PC beeps slowly three times, then quickly twice. According to the manual, this is a memory (RAM) issue. I have tried to reseat and clean the ram in my system as well as clean out any dust. The fans and other hardware seem to be working fine.
Any solutions?

@DominicPascale, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Memory (RAM) Issues on OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The slow beeps followed by quick beeps during startup indeed indicate a memory (RAM) issue. Here are some detailed steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this problem:
1. Reseat and Clean RAM Again
- Turn off the PC completely and disconnect from the power source.
- Open the case and locate the RAM slots.
- Remove all RAM modules carefully.
- Clean the RAM slots and the RAM sticks themselves using compressed air to remove any dust.
- Reinsert the RAM modules firmly into their slots.
2. Check RAM Configuration
- Ensure that the RAM modules are installed in the correct slots as per your motherboard's documentation. Sometimes, dual-channel memory should be placed in particular slots.
3. Test RAM Modules Individually
- Remove all RAM sticks except one and attempt to boot the system.
- If the system boots without beeping, that stick is likely fine.
- Repeat this process for each RAM stick. This can help identify a defective RAM stick.
4. Swap RAM Slots
- If your motherboard has multiple RAM slots, try each RAM stick in different slots to rule out the possibility of a faulty slot.
5. Update BIOS
- Visit HP's support website and check for any available BIOS updates for your model.
- Follow the instructions to update the BIOS, as sometimes updates can resolve hardware compatibility issues.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
