Hi @Karsin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can follow if your HP PC is crashing when launching Fortnite.

Check System Requirements:

  • Ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Fortnite. Check the processor, RAM, and GPU specifications against what is required.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Alternatively, you can check the GPU manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) for the latest updates.

Install Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Check for Fortnite Updates:

  • Open the Epic Games Launcher, go to your library, and verify the game files for Fortnite.

Check Power and Performance Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options and select High performance.

Close Background Applications:

  • Make sure no intensive applications are running in the background that might be consuming resources.

Check for Overheating:

  • Ensure your PC’s cooling system is functional, and the internal components are not overheating. Sometimes, dust buildup can cause overheating, so cleaning your PC might help.

Reinstall Fortnite:

  • Uninstall and then reinstall Fortnite from the Epic Games Launcher. This step can resolve issues related to corrupted game files.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
