I had installed new XMP memory and enabled the XMP profile in the BIOS.
(PC specs: OMEN 30L (Dorado OC AMP mainboard))
The PC then wouldn't start, and would output a beep code (3 long and 2 short). I knew this beep code was memory(RAM) related, so I removed the CMOS battery to do a CMOS reset.
After that, no beep codes were output, but the PC kept restarting (fans spinning, HDD starts spinning, but soon stops working and the PC starts rebooting again).
I've checked several forums and am trying Crisis Recovery, but that is not resolving this symptom. Am I doing this the wrong way?
Methods I've tried so far;
1. tried the Window key + B,V combination, but that didn't work.
2. trying to reset the CMOS by shorting a jumper on the motherboard, but I don't have the correct information on the pins to do this.
My situation is currently like this.
I would appreciate any help if anyone has solved the same problem as me.
Thanks.
Sincerely
Song
