I added in two 8gbs of RAM, all was fine. I got in, checked the frequency and it was originally 3200 with the original 16gb of 8 I had, now 2600 (I believe, but it was in the 2000s somewhere). Okay, I know installing new RAM can reduce the actual speed. And yes, the RAM I bought was from the same manufacturer, and I bought the same 3200 frequency speed. I went into BIOS where I changed it. When I restarted I heard beeping, oh god… I freaked out of course, no I do not remeber the number of beeps but I think it was 3 deep beeps then two high beeps.
I took out the new RAM sticks, figuring that was the issue. Tried to turn it back on, didn’t boot up. No lights, no fans, nothing. So I added the RAM back in, still nothing.
