HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p019na

This desktop machine started to give me `A fan is not operating correctly' and 'CPU Fan (90B) errors.  The fan would alternately be off or run at full speed (>4,000 rpm). Researching the problem suggested updating the BIOS. The BIOS I was on was listed as 82FE vF.23. On the HP website I found 82FE F.29 rev A in a file called sp106115.exe. I downloaded that file and executed it in Windows. It showed first installing the BIOS and then verifying it, apparently successfully. Since it was installed I have not been able to get past the POST screen.1681638918929.jpg

The system boots to this point. The screen is always the same except for the message in the bottom right corner. I get different messages there such as 'Diagnostics' or 'BIOS Configuration' depending which combination of keys I held down during the POST process. System recovery comes if I press and hold the Windows +R key I think.

What else have I tried?

- removing all peripherals except for the keyboard

- removing the battery from the mother board for 5 minutes

- removing the one stick of memory, which led to a lot of beeps and nothing appearing on the screen.

So having used the HP file for the HP BIOS update on this HP desktop, I surmise that the mother board is now kaputt. Can anybody suggest how I should repair or un-kaputt the mother board? Anybody care to specify a replacement mother board part number?

Thanks.
