Have an old hp motherboard that I am trying to use. Need to know the correct pins to connect: POWER, POWER LED, RESET, HHD LED, and RAM modules can be used... DD# ????

The pins on the motherboard should have printing on the motherboard, to identify each pair of pins. Either use a magnifying-glass, or the camera in your cell-phone to take a close-up picture of the pins.
Note that the "notch" in DDR / DDR2 / DDR3 sticks of RAM are in a different position, making it impossible to insert the "wrong" generation of RAM into the motherboard's RAM-socket.
