Pavilion 24
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hallo -- I have a brand new Pavilion 24, installed a week ago here in London. Added some old stuff, mostly pictures, music and Word files, been running on my old Lenovo for years without any issue.

My problem is constant freezes. Either the mouse would just stop working, then nothing would work and I'd have to pull the power to restart. On a couple of occasions I got a blue screen with "your PC ran in to a problem" and it would restart by itself. It seemed the freezes happened mostly when I was on Google Chrome, so I uninstalled Google Chrome and now use Edge. Cleared the problem for a few days, now it's back -- computer idle for 20 or 30 minutes, come back, mouse won't move, nothing will work, pull power cable and replug to restart. Utterly infuriating. I've done a whole internal HP diagnostic run -- no problems encountered. Anyone any thoughts please -- doing my head in!! Regards Laurie (lauriemar@aol.com)

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is freezing randomly.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
