Instead of booting up it replies with the error message "

@Gmod_Player -- a few possibilities:

 

  1. the power-cord from the power-supply to the disk-drive has become unconnected -- loose?
  2. the data cable from the motherboard to the disk-drive has become unconnected
  3. within BIOS SETUP, your disk-drive is NOT listed as an eligible "bootable" device
  4. the disk-drive has failed (the motor that spins the recording surface has frozen, or the electronic board on the bottom of the disk-drive has "fried")

I recommend that you take your computer to a certified computer technician, for trouble-shooting & repair.

 

However, if your computer was purchased less than 12 months ago, contact HP Support, to exercise the HP Warranty. HP will repair/replace your computer, at their expense.
