HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p010ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Blue screen error message on startup CPU fan 90B error.  Fan over-speeds (makes it noisy) for 2 seconds and then coasts to a stop.  This repeats after 7 seconds adinfinitum.  Cleared any sign of dust and updated the BIOS to the last available version (27.08.2022).  Windows and apps run normally when I start Windows instead of letting it shut down. all internal temperatures seem normal (29-31degC, CPU 50degC).  Removed CPU heatsink/fan assembly - in good contact with CPU and thermal heat sink compound well squashed.

hi

Sometimes it's a problem with the fan, and it needs to be replaced.
Sometimes a bios update can fix this, but already done
You removed the set
"Removed CPU heatsink/fan assembly - in good contact with CPU and thermal heat sink compound well squashed."
in this case I did not quite understand, but you must replace the thermal paste
But so with everything you seem to have already tested, only the new fan remains

Thanks for the fast answer.

"Removed CPU heatsink/fan assembly - in good contact with CPU and thermal heat sink compound well squashed." - by that i mean that i removed the heatsink, cleared off the old thermal paste and put on new, it decreased the cpu temperature by about 5 degC but didnt resolve my main problem.

If a new fan is needed, do you maybe know where i can buy one?

Thanks

You just have to look at the reference and buy the same, by searching with google for example

see if there is a reference directly on the fan, unless you buy another compatible model
