Hi, I recently bought a new processor for my pc. It’s an intel i5 14th gen with lga 1700 socket and I have hp8918 00 motherboard. I did a bios update and then installed the processor. My pc wouldn’t boot up, the leds would turn on for a second and so would the fan but it immediately turns off. After days of trying to figure out what is wrong I assumed it was a faulty processor. I just got a new one (same model) and it’s doing the same thing. My old processor works still, what are the chances both the processors are faulty?

Greetings @Grant9077
Welcome back to the Forum.
Check this Site for compatible 65 watt TDP CPUs.
An Intel "K" CPU (if purchased) would not be detected by your PC's MB/BIOS.

The 14400F is compatible.
Broken or bent CPU socket pins would produce a POST error using all CPUs.
I don't know what's going on.
You would have to attempt a MB repair, if possible, using an electronic Tech or replace the MB.
