My nephew has an HP Pavilion Power Desktop 580-139, product #2HJ 54AA #ABL which is 6 years old. Yesterday, he powered it on and it ran as usual for roughly 20 minutes, then it shut itself off. He powered it back on but after only 5 seconds it again shut down. Now it will not power on at all. He unplugged it from his surge protector then plugged it directly into the wall receptor but still nothing. He checked the power cable, making sure that is was still tight and also turned the power button off then on but still nothing. He said the fans were running as per usual so I don't suspect that the motherboard was overheating. Iv"e never had this issue myself but figure it has something to do with an internal power connection or module? Any and all solutions to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This could be a hardware issue or a power supply.
To troubleshoot your HP Pavilion Power Desktop 580-139 that is not powering on, follow these steps:
Check Power Supply:
- Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the wall outlet and the back of the computer.
- Test the power outlet by plugging in another device to confirm it’s working.
- If you have a spare power cable, try using it to rule out a faulty cable.
Inspect the Power Button:
- Press the power button firmly.
- Look for any lights or listen for any sounds (fans spinning, beeps) when attempting to power on.
Check for Loose Connections:
