Computer is a Pavilion 510-P030. After powering down the PC, when attempting to restart, the power LED on back is green but pushing the power button has no effect. With the cover off, I noted that once the case fan jumped slightly like it was trying to start but that was all. I pulled the 2032 coin battery, it measured about 1.0 volt on a DVM. I replaced it with a new one at 3.0 volts. This did not improve anything. I saw something about pushing a CMOS reset button but I don't see one on the MB.
Could this be a bad switch?
There is apparently a document addressing this problem, but it is a dead link (c05206048).
I've got the feeling this is a minor problem but I need the PC operating ASAP or buy a new one.
