Desktop PC powered off in use. Alleged "major hardware failure" according to HP web site.
Can only get power-on fail, 4 long beeps, red LED blinks. 2 second pause, cycle repeats until powered off. NO secondary beeps or blinks. No white or green LEDs blink.
Followed recomended general procedure.
Repeatedly did AC cord disconnect, held in power button to discharge p.s. caps, opened case, replaced CMOS battery. No difference.
Powered on, pressed CMOS reset button on motherboard. NO response. Same result.
Repeated procedure, removed video card, powered on. No difference. Reinstalled video, disconnected system SSD. Closed case. powered on. No difference. Beeps & blinks persist. Never boots nor gives video output. Where is article on that exact beep code, for my product? HP EliteDesk 800 GI ASF
