Hello, My access to Private Messages has disappeared from my profile menu, and when I try to open the direct link to my inbox, I receive the message “Access Denied – You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource.”

Until yesterday, the Private Messages feature was working normally. I was also expecting a reply via private message, but now I can no longer access it.

Could you please check my account and restore my access to Private Messages? Thank you.

Hi @Alex_B209,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how concerning it is when you're no longer able to access your Private Messages, especially if you were expecting a reply.

I've checked, and Private Messages are enabled for your account. Could you please try the following?

  • Sign out of the HP Community, then sign back in.
  • Try accessing your Private Messages again from your profile menu.
  • If possible, try using a different browser or an Incognito/InPrivate window, and clear your browser's cache and cookies before signing in again.

If you're still seeing the "Access Denied – You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource" message after trying the above, please let me know. Also, let me know which browser you're using and whether the issue occurs on another device as well. That information will help us investigate further.

I look forward to your update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
