Mil gracias.

What does "but still the computer was at all times disconnected from the power source." mean?

From what I have read and experienced in the times I was in Colombia, power outages are relatively common.

An outage or surge in power could easily have damaged the motherboard of your PC.

You  have a few choices.

You can have it repaired by a PC shop's technician or service engineer, you could have the system board replaced or you could source a replacement PC.

When I lived in Puerto Rico, I had storms and power surges kill a few of my PCs. I chose to use a battery-powered surge protection device afterwards. Here in South Florida, I have insurance that protects for my electronic devices that is included in  my electric bill.

We would like to help, but you must write your posts in English so everyone can read it.

This is the HP Global English language Community Support forum.

Unfortunately, the Spanish/Portuguese forum has been discontinued by HP.

"I have had a problem with this computer for several days now. We were doing preventive maintenance on it and when we turned it on it did not turn on again. We made sure that some component was not generating the conflict but when we tested it nothing was detected. When we tried to turn it on without its back covers, we noticed that when we connected it to the power supply, the board immediately turned on and off an orange LED on the back where the socket to connect the power supply is located. We thought it was the charger, but we tried with others and the result is the same. We checked the contacts and everything is apparently in order. We do not know what else it could be, because when we brought it to the work table it was working correctly."

Use Google translate. Do not expect me to translate your next reply. That is not the intent in this forum.

What specific preventative maintenance were you performing?

Did you have the laptop on a non conductive surface when it was turned on?

A blinking Orange LED means there is a problem with the power adapter.

Does the power fluctuate or drop out where the  ProOne 400 G2 AiO is used?

Thank you, sorry I didn't know where else to go for help.

Answering your questions:

First of all it is a desktop not a laptop.

The maintenance was routine, cleaning, changing thermal paste and formatting.

Regarding the surface, I am not sure if it is conductive, but still the computer was at all times disconnected from the power source.

And the power does not fluctuate and is not interrupted when the equipment was running.

I do not speak English so I used a translator, I hope you can understand me.

Thank you very much.

You did come to the right place for assistance.

"First of all it is a desktop not a laptop."

You posted this in the notebook/laptop section of the forum. I can move it for you.

Does the PC still boot up to Windows?

Does the orange LED blink a number of times and then start blinking again?

If it does, can you count the blinks? It is a error code.

Thanks, I would appreciate moving it.
No, the pc doesn't turn on we noticed the led when we rechecked it because it just wouldn't turn on.
The led only comes on once when connected to power.

Thank you very much.

Try the following:

Unplug the power adapter

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds or more.

Plug the power adapter back in.

Press the power button.

I follow your recommendation and the problem persists. An engineer from another company tells us that it could possibly be that the board is generating an overload or that a short circuit has simply occurred.

We do not have the tools to ensure that one of these is the cause.

Thank you very much.

I suggest trying a different compatible power adapter.
