Hi  @Allison933,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it can be to see a red screen error like “Invalid signature detected.
This can happen when Secure Boot detects something unexpected in the boot process, but the good news is that it’s usually fixable.

Could you kindly confirm the  exact HP model of your PC or laptop?

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

1.Enter BIOS/UEFI Setup

Restart your computer and press Esc or F10 (depending on your model) to enter BIOS/UEFI.

Look for the Secure Boot option under Security or Boot Configuration.

2.Check Secure Boot Policy

If Secure Boot is enabled, try switching it temporarily to Disabled, save changes, and restart.

If the system boots normally, you can re-enable Secure Boot afterward.

3.Restore Default BIOS Settings

In BIOS, select Restore Defaults or Load Setup Defaults, then save and exit.

This often clears signature mismatches caused by cleanup tools altering boot records.

4.Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

Press Esc during startup, then F2 to launch HP Diagnostics.

Run a quick system test to ensure hardware integrity.

5.Check Boot Order

Make sure your primary hard drive/SSD is listed first in the boot order.

I hope this helps.
