When I try to re-install windows 11 on my PC due to being in a Bitlocker cycle (due to unplugging my PC and not letting my PC fully shutdown), and I get to the Windows 11 Setup and to "Select location to install Windows 11" both disk's say that "Windows 11 can't be installed on disk/drive" and it says "The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, the operating system can only be installed to GPT disks." and "Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port."

I resolve the first bit with cmd using "diskpart" and selecting it and clearing it but that only makes the USB drive remove itself from the disk list and making it so i have to format it and reinstall the Windows 11 media installer. I tried contacting Microsoft support to try update the drivers but it doesn't work and even with the correct drivers they aren't compatible with my computer's hardware and if they are, it just buggs out my PC and makes it restart everything.

What should I do?

If your PC is less than 5 years old, I recommend that you use the HP cloud recovery tool to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will return the drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

It sounds to me like you had Diskpart clean the USB flash drive and not the PC's drive.

You need to select the disk you want to clean.

  1. Press Shift+F10 from inside Windows Setup screen to open a command prompt window.
  2. Type diskpart and press the Enter key.
  3. Type list disk to find your disk number.
  4. Type select disk (e.g., select disk0) to choose the disk you want to format.
  5. Finally, type clean to wipe the disk completely.

Same with the command prompt.

Then I suggest you take your PC into your local PC repair shop and have them reinstall Windows for you.
