Hi Paul,

Thanks for the extra info.

I did try the cmd version but at the time it was Microsoft's Official version of windows and wouldn't allow me to do the cmd line option. (that's what I read anyway.) That's why I ended up going down the Rufus path.

As for the BIOS... totally understand. FYI the board I have 2B44. Slap bang in the middle of the available BIOS files. Hey ho. All's well that ends well.

Cheers for now.

By following what you posted here and a lot of failed attempts and crashes everytime I tried to add the graphics driver and some other issues, I finally got my pc working again. I managed to install Windows 11 too.  My sleep buttons has disappeared but if that's all that's missing I'll be happy.

Thanks again for this post.

Hi Jessica,

Congrats. Glad my little blog helped.

As an aside to the sleep option you could try:-

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type:-

powercfg -a

This should give you a list of available device power capabilities.

If it says S3 Sleep not available or lists Hibernate only, the issue may be driver-related.

Well done once again though. 😎

Kind regards,

Simmo.
