Product: HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Desktop Mini PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Started getting message:  Settings,  Restart Required.  Your system needs to be restarted to finish setting up this device: HP R21 System Firmware.

 

I first went and tried to install latest Bios (9/25/23) and no change. Looking at Device manager says I need to restart but shows I have version 9/25/23 installed. Cannot update.  Doing a system Information Report shows that the BIOS is actually version 02.18.00 dated 6/21/23.

Firmware is pending update on next system reboot.

Pending Firmware Version: 21900

Firmware failed to update during the last attempt.

Last Attempt Version: 21900
Last Attempt Date: 11/29/2023 8:18:31 PM
Last Attempt Status: 0xC000009A

 

Appears newer version did not install properly and restarting has no affect on it. 

 

Would appreciate info on how to resolve this.
