Reading the specification that board may not be compatible with Windows 10

It sounds like an interesting proposition speeding up your hard drive using the SSD. You can do something similar by using an inexpensive m.2 Nvme PCIe adapter with SSD and installing primo cache. But that won't give you raid capability which that only "x1" adapter can do. Those PCIe m.2 adapters can also be X4 or X8 and much faster than your x1 to SATA
What is it you're trying to do speed up your computer or add RAID and a bunch of disk drives.
My opinion worth about $0.02, is to purchase a synology NAS instead of converting a workstation to a server,
