Hi,
I have cloned my DEll T3600 o/s and apps drive (1TB) MBR to a NVMe ssd and it says cloned successful but when I install it in mt HP Z640 on the NVMe PCie card it will not boot.
The Boot sequence is correct and it does boot with the original NVMe ssd.
ust tried to install the new clone and it didn't load.. no boot so tried wit bios set to US 1st and used Macrium rescue USB
Got a blue screen RECOVERY.
app or op system cannot be loaded due file \windows\sys32\winload.efi 0x000000e
You'll need to use recovery tools
Enter to retry
F1 for Recovery Environment
F8 Startup Settings
Es for UEFI Firmware settings
F9 Use dif o/s
so hit F1 ang got
Boot config data doesn't have
BCD 0x0000098
You'll need recovery tools like USB.
I expected Macrium to boot from the USB so I could use the Fix Windows Boot option but it didn't. Not sure why because it has before.
I went into BIOS and these are their options and their setting..
Enable Legacy support + Disable Secure Boot – This was used
Disable Legacy + Enable Secure Boot
Disable Legacy + Disable Secure Boot.
Clear Secure Keys – Disabled
Reset Secure Boot to Default – Disabled
How can I get it to boot?
Thanks
EDIT:
Cloned with Disk Genius Hot Migration and it worked.

Hi
I tried a clone using Macrium Free and Trial which didn't work no matter what I did then used Free Disk Genius and clone Hot Migration worked.
Put the NVMe in to the PCIe card, booted and it found Win 10, readied the devices and it has been running well since and now updated to the latest Win 10

It doesn't make any sense. You have to clone from same HP machine, not from a Dell machine.
Hope this makes sense now.
Regards.
