My power sleep settings are: computer - never, monitor - 30 minutes.
Sometimes when I return to my computer after being away for a couple days, I move the mouse and the screen lights up with white "noise" then, after five seconds, goes black, then back to the white noise, then black. This cycle repeats and no combination of keystrokes or mouse movements will interrupt it. The only solution is to re-boot...at which point everything works fine.
While this has only happen a handful of times (the computer is less than 90 days old) it seems as if it always happens after a Windows 10 update.
One time when re-booting I received an error message; "Attempted to write to read-only memory."
Right now it's a minor issue but I'm worried that something bigger may be at fault.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.
I understand that you have an HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p026. I read that the PC has issues from resuming from sleep mode. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.
Also, let me know if you're still receiving the message "Attempted to write to read-only memory."
Meanwhile, please perform the steps mentioned under "The computer does not wake up from sleep or hibernate mode" from this HP document.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂
