I am attempting to play VALORANT, but to have their anti- cheat you have to have secure boot on. I am set to UEFI mode. When I turn on secure boot and my computer resets, my screen shows, I have a secure violation that says it is an invalid signature detected and to check my secure boot policy in set up. I have tried resetting to default keys, but nothing seems to work. Please help me 😞

Hi @DB_2828

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand you’re receiving an “Invalid Signature Detected” message when enabling Secure Boot for VALORANT.

Kindly confirm  whether Windows version, BIOS version, and whether any GPU or storage hardware has been changed.

Kindly enter BIOS with F10, confirm UEFI mode, disable Legacy Support if available, restore the default Secure Boot keys, and check for the latest BIOS update for your exact HP model before enabling Secure Boot again.

HP's official steps are available here: HP PCs - Secure Boot (Windows 11).

Secure Boot validates digitally signed components during startup. The violation indicates that a startup signature is not being accepted by the Secure Boot configuration, so the BIOS, trusted keys, and boot configuration should be checked rather than simply leaving Secure Boot disabled.

You can also review this HP Community Secure Boot Violation conversation, where a similar Secure Boot issue was reported as solved. The same solution may not apply to every configuration, so kindly review it alongside the steps above.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
