OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)

My OMEN 30L is stuck with Secure Boot reported as off in Windows even though the BIOS shows it enabled. Warzone requires Secure Boot. I have verified UEFI, GPT, and TPM, and repaired the EFI boot files. I need help fixing the BIOS Secure Boot State.

Hi  @weweweas,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern on how  this must be after verifying UEFI mode, GPT partitioning, TPM, and repairing the EFI boot files and still having issue with the secure boot, don’t worry let me help you with this.

Could you kindly confirm the below detail :

  • When did you first notice this issue? Did it start after a BIOS update, Windows update, or hardware change?
  • What BIOS version is currently installed on your system?
  • In System Information (msinfo32), what is shown for:
    • BIOS Mode
    • Secure Boot State
  • Have you tried installing another operating system (such as Linux) or modified Secure Boot keys in the BIOS?

In the meantime, kindly try the below steps and confirm :

  1. Load BIOS Default Settings
    • Restart the PC and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
    • Select Restore Defaults or Load Setup Defaults.
    • Save and exit.
  2. Disable and Re-enable Secure Boot
    • Enter BIOS.
    • Temporarily disable Secure Boot and save the changes.
    • Restart, re-enter BIOS, and enable Secure Boot again.
    • Save and restart Windows.
  3. Verify Legacy Support is Disabled
    • Ensure Legacy Support  is disabled.
    • Confirm the system is configured for UEFI Only boot mode.

Once you share the  the results from msinfo32, we'll be in a much better position to identify whether this is a Secure Boot key issue, BIOS configuration problem

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
