Secure Boot Violation - Invalid signature detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup

Hi @wparsons,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it must be to see a Secure Boot Violation message when starting your HP device.

Could you please share your HP model number and any recent changes you made (like BIOS updates, new hardware, or operating system installations)?

Here are a few steps you can try :

Check BIOS settings: Restart your PC, press Esc or F10 during startup to enter BIOS Setup, and verify that Secure Boot is enabled under System Configuration.

Reset BIOS to defaults: Sometimes restoring factory defaults clears signature mismatches. Look for “Restore Defaults” or “Load Setup Defaults” in BIOS.

Update BIOS firmware: Outdated firmware can cause signature errors. Visit HP’s support website  https://support.hp.com/ for your model and install the latest BIOS update.

Check boot device: Ensure your primary boot drive is correctly selected and hasn’t been altered.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
