Hi @Gsands215

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the Secure Boot Violation message appearing on your computer. Let’s go through recommended steps to restore proper configuration:

Access BIOS Setup

  • Power on the computer and immediately press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS Setup screen opens.

Check Secure Boot Configuration

  • In BIOS, go to Security > Secure Boot Configuration.
  • Verify that Secure Boot is enabled.
  • If disabled, enable it and save changes.

Restore Factory Keys

  • Within the Secure Boot Configuration menu, select Restore Factory Keys or Install Default Keys.
  • Save changes and exit BIOS.
  • Restart the computer to check if the violation clears.

Update BIOS

  • Ensure the BIOS is up to date. HP provides BIOS updates through the HP App or directly from HP’s support site.
  • Visit HP’s official support page for your product model and download the latest BIOS update:
HP PCs – Updating the BIOS

Operating System Compatibility

  • Secure Boot requires an operating system that supports UEFI Secure Boot. If you recently changed or reinstalled the OS, confirm that it is Secure Boot compatible.

BIOS Recovery (if needed)

  • If the BIOS update does not apply correctly, you can create a BIOS recovery USB using HP’s official tool.
  • Official HP resource: HP PCs – Recovering the BIOS

These steps are specific to HP systems and help restore Secure Boot functionality while maintaining protection. Please try them and let me know if you would like direct links to the driver and BIOS page for your exact product model.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
