Hi I started my pc and there was a screen saying smart disk error and that there is imminent failure. It also said I should run system diagnostics. I ran an extensive test and everything passes except for 3 things, it said
HardDrive/SSD SMART Check : RECOMMENDED ACTION - Executing DST...
Hard Drive/SSD Short DST Check :FAILED FAILURE ID : 94N621-8NMA6X-9XPGRG-60T003
Hard Drive/SSD Long DST Check : FAILED FAILURE ID : 94N621-8NMA6X-9XPGRG-61BQ03
I can still boot the computer and everything seems to run fine. I also ran CHKDSK in cmd and it said no further action required. But when I error check the drive (my C: drive) in properties, it says to repair and that it will repair the drive next time I restart the computer. When I do restart the computer I get the smart disk error screen again and it seems nothing changes. Could someone please tell me if I need to get a new SSD or if I can do something about this.

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.
For (original) Windows 7 and Windows 10. Please use Cloud Recovery tool:
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06162205
You still can access to your machine now. Please backup your files/data before too late.
Regards.
