Hi @MJ0410

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

Could you please clarify what you mean by "Start Menu"?

  • Does Windows boot normally to the desktop, but the Windows Start Menu is already open?
  • Or do you see a Startup/Boot Menu before Windows loads, with options such as Boot Manager, BIOS Setup, or Diagnostics?

A picture of the screen would be very helpful in determining the correct troubleshooting steps.

Meanwhile  If the Windows Start Menu opens automatically after login

Check if the Windows key on the keyboard is stuck.

  • Disconnect the keyboard and restart.
  • Test with a different keyboard.

Restart Windows Explorer.

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
  • Open Task Manager
  • Right-click Windows Explorer
  • Select Restart

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
