Hi @Ako03,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Your HP Pavilion Laptop PC 14-dv1000 is stuck in an Automatic Repair loop, which usually means Windows can’t boot due to corrupted system files, failed updates, or disk errors. Here’s how to fix it step by step:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the charger and all peripherals.
  • Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and try turning it on.

2. Enter Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

  • Turn on the laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F11 for System Recovery.
  • If WinRE loads, go to:
    • Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Repair.
    • If that fails, try System Restore (if you have a restore point).

3. Run Command Prompt Repairs

In Advanced Options → Command Prompt, type:

      chkdsk C: /f /r

      sfc /scannow

     DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These commands check and repair disk and system files.

4. Disable Automatic Repair Loop

If it keeps looping: bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No

Then restart.

5. If Nothing Works

  • Create a Windows 11 recovery USB on another PC.
  • Boot from it (press Esc → F9 for Boot Menu).
  • Choose Repair your computer → Troubleshoot → Startup Repair or Reset this PC.
