Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Turned the PC on this morning. Machine powered up and got as far as the Windows lock screen. Mouse allows the cursor to move around the screen but does not respond to clicks! Keyboard key strokes also ignored. So sitting with a very expensive calendar and clock that is also not updating - still showing 11.40 @ 11.58. Have tried restarts by turning on and off - no change. Have also tried hard reset and again no change. Anyone seen this before or know how to get round it?

A little update - have managed to get in to the diagnostics piece. Both the keyboard and mouse operate properly in there but on re-boot I end back on the lock screen with mouse clicks ignored and the keyboard being ignored.
